ELP Service Update
English Language Programs will continue to provide all of its regular services during Spring Quarter. All services will be offered remotely. We are keeping our registration schedule the same, even with the delayed Spring Quarter start, so that students have one less task to do during the first week of Spring Quarter. Please see our Registration page for details. And did you know that there is a TGS-Specific COVID-19 Frequently Asked Questions page for questions about your research, financial considerations, and coursework? There is also a specific FAQ for international students and scholars on the main University COVID site. Please review these resources and share with others.
Questions? Please contact our Program Coordinator Brian Hampson at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Language support for international students and scholars
Northwestern University brings students and scholars from around the world to engage in research, graduate study, teaching, and intellectual exchange. A partnership between The Graduate School and the Department of Linguistics, English Language Programs (ELP) provides English language training, orientation, and testing for international graduate students and scholars, helping them improve their ability to communicate in the classroom and beyond. For information about who we are and how to contact us or get involved, go to the About section. See the buttons below for information on our services, testing, and orientation programs. To enroll in our programs, go to our Registration section.
Our services are exclusively for international students and scholars currently enrolled or employed at Northwestern University. For resources for the general public, please see our English Learner Resources page.
