English Language Programs is committed to partnering with departments to support international students as they work to improve their English language proficiency. This one-page summary provides an overview of ELP for faculty and program staff
We are available to consult with faculty and staff about English proficiency-related matters as they pertain to your students. Common topics include: English proficiency testing and TGS's English proficiency requirement, campus (or off-campus) English language resources, interpreting test scores for admissions, and best practices for supporting student progress toward proficiency. Our Speech Language Pathologist is also available to answer questions about supporting students who may have a diagnosed or undiagnosed speech or language disorder that may impact language learning, such as stuttering.
